INTRODUCTION
We are heading to Lake Tyrrell, approximately 4.5 hours drive from Melbourne, and staying two nights in a rented holiday house in the town of Sea Lake. Lake Tyrrell is Victoria’s largest salt lake, with peak photographic opportunities presenting themselves between late August and early November each year. The expedition is limited to four people (including myself) as we all drive out together.
We’ve learned quite a bit from our previous trip to Lake Tyrrell, one of which is allowing ample time for scouting and walking, and as such this trip will utilise fold up bikes to assist. Additionally, we’ll be spreading out a little more this time, and visiting new areas.
MEETING LOCATION
1A Normandy St, Ashburton VIC 3147
This is my personal home, and has ample free street parking for the night, though my suggestion would be to group up before arriving here.
PRICING
Accommodation is charged to the group at $290 per night, in a house with four bedrooms, and places for up to 7 people to sleep (2 queen beds & 4 singles and pull out for the remainder).
$580 for two nights
Reception Address is 97 Railway Av
We’ll be avoiding the tour thing this time around, in an attempt to get to some beautiful locations.
