Lake Tyrrell

  • VIC, 3533 Australia (map)

INTRODUCTION
We are heading to Lake Tyrrell, approximately 4.5 hours drive from Melbourne, and staying overnight in a rented holiday house in the town of Sea Lake. Lake Tyrrell is Victoria’s largest salt lake, with best photographic opportunities presenting themselves from September to October each year. The tour is limited to four people (including myself) as we all drive out together.
As I’ve only scouted this location once, I’ve employed the services of a photographic guide in the area. The intention is to discuss with them prior to an escorted tour for sunset other opportunities in the area to photograph, particularly for the sunrise the next morning. The guided photographic tour is $55 per person and is paid on the day.

MEETING LOCATION
1A Normandy St, Ashburton VIC 3147

This is my personal home, and has ample free street parking for the night, though my suggestion would be to group up before arriving here.

PRICING
Accommodation is charged to the group at $300 per night, in a house with three bedrooms, and places for up to 10 people to sleep (3 queen beds & bunks and singles for the remainder).
$300 per night

Tour is in a group, hopefully it’ll be just us at a price of $55 per person.
