The Tarkine/Takayna is Australia’s largest cool-temperate rainforest, and home to a diverse range of wildlife including many endangered species such as the Tasmanian Devil, and Swift Parrot. It’s landscape is diverse from rapid rivers to estuaries and creeks, forests to bush and incredible beaches.
This photo was featured in the Art for Takayna exhibition in Salamanca, Hobart in 2024 and features a scene of an old creek that has slowly eroded the land beneath it that the forest has been able to constantly regrow around it.
